Maleficent 3 (2026)
Rating: 4/5 Dark Fairy Tale
Angelina Jolie returns as the iconic horned fairy in Maleficent 3: Mistress of Shadows, a sequel that explores the deeper lore of the Moors and delivers a satisfying conclusion to Maleficent’s journey.
The film finds Maleficent ruling the Moors peacefully alongside Queen Aurora (Elle Fanning). But when a new threat emerges from the shadows—a forgotten race of dark fairies who were banished centuries ago and seek revenge—Maleficent must confront her own past. The leader of the dark fairies (a chilling performance) claims to be Maleficent’s mother, and the truth forces Maleficent to question everything she knows about her origins.

The Verdict: A beautiful, emotional conclusion to a underrated fantasy trilogy. Jolie owns this role, and the film honors her journey.
Final Thought: Not all shadows are evil. Some are just misunderstood.
